Mother Son Mass:  any student interested in assisting in some way with the Mother Son Mass, please see Fr. Tim. The Mother Son Mass will take place Oct. 20th at 9:30am. 

 

Volunteers needed for Trivia Night:  Any student who would like to get in some service hours might consider volunteering to work at the Marianist Retreat Center trivia night here at Vianney this Saturday. For more information please see Fr. Tim. It's a great night and you will enjoy yourself.

 

Seniors attending Kairos next week:  All seniors attending the Kairos retreat next week are required to meet in the chapel on Thursday during Encore for a brief meeting. Please see Fr. Tim if you cannot be present. 

 

Griffin Life meets tonight at 5:30 in the Marianist Lobby. Join us as we talk about different types of prayer. See you tonight at 5:30. 

 

Today is picture retake day.  Anyone—student, faculty or staff member—who has not had his/her picture taken  for the yearbook this year, must have pictures taken Tuesday morning.  They will begin photographing at 7:30 and will only be here about an hour.

 

Any one interested in working backstage on Griffin Theatre's production of Much Ado About Nothing should see Mr. Book in room 503.

 

Anyone interested in Mock Trial there will be a meeting today during encore in room 308. If you can't make it see Mr. Shannon.

 

Anyone interested in playing tennis in the spring will meet in room 308 on Thursday during encore.  If you can't make it see Mr. Shannon.

 

There will be a Close Up meeting in Room 102 today during Encore  to finish enrolling those going on the trip to Washington, D.C. in February.  This is the last call for anyone who might still want to join us.

 

Attention seniors--Be sure to check out the scholarship section of Family Connection for some new scholarship opportunities including Eagle Scout of the Year and the Earl Collins Foundation of Kiwanis International.

 

What's round and red and felt all over?  DODGEBALL!!!!! Start getting prepared.

 

There will be an Athletic Apostles meeting on Wednesday, October 16 at 8:00 a.m. in the Coaches Office. Seniors are not required to attend.

 

Scholar Bowl is just around the corner!  Practices will start on Tuesdays during Encore in room 201. Vianney will be in the City/South County division and will compete on Tuesdays.  All grade levels will be competing.  Anyone interested is to meet in room 201 every Tuesday starting today for practice questions. For more information, please see Mr. Wyss in room 201

 

Ultimate Frisbee will start its practices on Wednesdays, starting tomorrow - we will start at 3 and go until 5 at the latest. Please bring appropriate clothing to play a game. Any one interested is to be meet by the soccer locker room across form the baseball field.  For more information, please see Mr. Wyss in room 201.

 

BASEBALL: This is a reminder that the makeup meeting for anyone looking to tryout for Vianney Baseball this spring is this evening at 5:30 pm in the Griffin Cafe

This is a reminder that Coach Brown would like everyone that is going to tryout for baseball this spring to fill out the Player Questionnaire that can be found on the baseball website.

 

The Freshman Soccer Team improved their record to 10 and 3 by defeating C.B.C. yesterday 3 - 1. Dennys Vasquez scored two goals early and Jake Pilla netted the final goal.
