The Griffins Swimmers turned in a solid team performance over the 2-Day Rockwood Summit Invitational.  Medalists included all 3 relays:  The 200 Medley and the 400 Free Relays of Nick Alexander, Jake Gauvain, Chris Raeber and Ben Greene took 4th Place and 3rd place respectively.  The 200 Free Relay of Paul Hoffman, Chris Raeber, Drew Sandweg and Mitch Gerth finished 6th.  Sam Biffignani placed 7th in the 100 Backstroke while Jake Gauvain took 6th in the 500 Free and 7th in the 50 Free. Nick Alexander finished first in both the 200 IM and the 500 Free, breaking his own school record in the 500.  The team finished in 5th place overall.  Swimmers will practice today at Affton at 3:15--that is a time change from the schedule."


The B team soccer Griffins defeated Desmet 1-0 yesterday to win the Summit JV tournament. Nick Mihaljevic scored the only goal and Kyle Diffley recorded the shutout.


On Monday October 12th representative from Loyola University New Orleans and University of Missouri Kansas City will be here to meet with prospective students. If you are interested in meeting with either of these reps, please sign up using Naviance.


Attention juniors and seniors--like working with numbers?  interested in the career field of Actuarial Science?  want to experience what an actuary does as a job?  RGA, a local actuarial firm will have an information day on Friday, November 6 from 9:30 to 1 pm.  Please see Mrs. Sodemann in the Leadership Center by October 15 if you are interested in participating in this event.


The Freshman Black Soccer Team defeated CBC yesterday by the score of 2-0. The goals were scored by Zach Poelzl and Tommy Goeders and the shutout was recorded by Grant Atwood!


Attention Avionics club members:  This season marks the Eighth Annual Boeing Engineering Challenge sponsored by The Boeing Company – St. Louis Site!  The event kicks off at our Open House - Wednesday, October 14, from 6:00-7:00 pm with our Request for Proposal Kick-off and Systems Requirements Review (SRR).   Any student that is interested in attending should contact Mr. Prost in room 202 for more information.


Varsity soccer goes to Collinsville and defeats a very good Kahok team 4-3. Falling behind two different times. Wendell Reiter evened the score at 1 and then Klages tied it 2-2. Sean Michel scored the third goal to get our first lead at 3-2. Then with it tied 3-3 Brandon Love scored with 4 minutes to play to seal the deal for the Griffins 4-3 victory.


Kairos Retreat:  All Seniors going on next weeks Kairos retreat are asked to go to an information meeting on either Thursday or Friday during Encore. Since some of you will be involved with the games at Encore, we are giving you a choice. Please report to the chapel for your meeting.​


Attention Letterman's Club members.  Our first meeting will be Thursday during Encore in room 305.  We will accept nominations for this year's officers.  If you still wish to join you are welcomed to do so.  See Mr. C. Walsh in room 305 or Mr. Jewell for an application.


This Thursday October 8th, Representatives from St. Louis University, William Woods University, and the University of Tulsa will be meeting prospective students. If you are interested in meeting with any of these Reps, please sign up through Naviance.

Seniors!  On Saturday, October 10, the Parents' Club is sponsoring a night at the Mouse Races to benefit your after graduation lock-in party.  We need about 15 good men from the senior class to work at the races that night.  You'd be selling raffle tickets, etc.  If you are interested in helping this important project, please see Mr. Matreci in room 500 to sign up.  Thank you in advance for helping to make the 2016 Lock-in the most successful yet.

Cardboard Village:  Vianney and Ursuline are teaming up to address homelessness by coming together for Cardboard Village. Here’s Mr. Remiger with more details.


World Food Night:  Come join students throughout the St. Louis area to package food for the poor on the evening of Oct. 16th from 8-11pm. This is a great opportunity to get some service hours. Please see Junior Paul Morrison or Fr. Tim to sign up.
