Happy Birthday to Joe Ackfeld and Reilly Byrne.  We hope you have a great day on your special day.

Finally, here is James Schueler with a special announcement on behalf of the football team.

The Vianney football team is holding their second annual Friends of Kids with Cancer Toy Drive this week. The toy drive is aimed at helping children, and their families, get through the treatments and long hours at the hospital.  The Drive will begin today and end on Friday October 14th.  Although this is a Toy Drive, you are able to bring in the following items.

New toys- the toys MUST be new and unopened (if necessary.) Toys and stuffed animals of all kinds are more than welcome. Restaurant gift cards to local or chain restaurants. Since hospital food can become very bland after a while- a gift card to Applebee's or Chick Fil A would spruce up the family's spirit as they are staying in the hospital with their child.  Gas gift cards. Many children and their families come from out of town to receive treatments and sometimes have little to no money to pay for gas.

We are asking the faculty, staff, and the entire student body of Saint John Vianney High School to participate in this GREAT cause.  We have the ability to help and touch the lives of so many people this week so let's make this an even bigger success this year than last year- by informing as many people as possible throughout the community.

Those are your announcements.  Make it a great day to be a Griffin.
