Lost & Found: The lost & found is now located in the main office and all items left in there on Friday afternoon will be donated to charity or thrown out. Check it out this week if you've lost something!

Freshmen, sophomores & juniors -- there are still a large number of school pictures in the office. If you had pictures taken at school and have not received them yet, please come to the office to pick them up.

You may have heard that you can still join the bowling team. This is true! See Bro. Andy in the Media Center for more information.

Drummer Needed: Mr. Remiger is looking for a drummer for the mass band. Our next mass is October 18th, if you are a drummer and this is something you'd be interested in please stop by the Campus Ministry office sometime this week.

Bocce is a game where you throw a ball at another ball. Interested? Come to the informational meeting today at Encore in room 209.

Spirit Mass: Any student interested in helping out in some way with our next student body mass which is next week as part of Spirit week, please see Mr. Remiger or Fr. Tim.

The Yearbook, Newspaper & Photo Club will meet today during encore in room 208. see Mr. Burke for more info.


Juniors and Seniors, registration for your 2012-2013 retreat needs to be completed today.
Attention Sophomores and Juniors! Next Wednesday, October 17 is the PSAT practice college admissions test. Now is the time to start reviewing sample questions from the workbook that you received at your class meeting last month. If you need another workbook, stop by the LLC to get one or see your counselor. Workbooks will also be in the cafe during lunch time. More announcements will follow about what to bring (and what not to bring) to the testing site. Good luck!

Seniors: Vianney's most prestigious service award, the Archbishop May Service Award, is given to one graduating senior every year. The winner has his name etched on a permanent plaque in the main hallway and leads a prayer at graduation. If you have been a good servant-leader and have excelled in service at Vianney, please nominate yourself for this award. Applications can be obtained from Mr. Wheadon or Mr. Remiger and must be returned to them with an accompanying essay by Thursday, October 19.
Attention all SCRAMBLERS!! There will be a meeting on Friday, Oct. 12 in room 109 during encore. All members of the scramblers need to be present at the meeting.

Close Up Program: This is the last call for any students who might want to jloin us on the Close Up Trip to Washington, D.C. in February. Our group will be joined by 17 girls from Cor Jesu in this highly interactive program with students from all parts of the country, one week after the presidential inauguration ceremonies. See Mr. Travis in Room 204 for details.

The Elks National Foundation awards scholarships through its Most Valuable Student scholarship contest. You must be a US citizen and demonstrate financial need. More details are available on Naviance Family Connection or see a counselor.

The Griffin Swimmers and Divers got back in the win column in a big way with a 109-77 victory over Rockwood Summit. Highlights were many--Freshman Nick Alexander qualified for his sixth individual event at the State meet while winning the 100 Breaststroke. As well, the 200 Free Relay team of Alexander, Sam Reynolds, Garrett Lipic and Austin Hanse also qualified for the State meet. Other winners included Ben Dombrowski in the 100 Fly, Alex Feicht in Diving, Nick Alexander in the 200 IM as well as the 200 Medley and 400 Free relay teams. The team will compete in the Lindbergh Invitational tomorrow at Lindbergh High School--diving begins at 8:30 and Swimming at 1:00.

Acceptable: Any combination of the colors Red, White, and Blue and the American Flag.
Unacceptable: Shirts with alcoholic reference, drug reference, or explicit language. NO CAMOUFLAGE!
Also We will be handing out Freeze Pops to all students at Lunch!

Tuesday - Greek Life Tuesday - Sperry's (no socks of course) button downs, thigh showing flat fronts, visors, croakies, and sunglasses encouraged.
Unacceptable - Wearing of Just gym shorts and t-shirts - You Have to TRY!
Food: Taco Tuesday - Selling Jack in the Box Tacos at Lunch

Wednesday - Testing Day - Regular attire Required
Food: Dominos Pizza sold After school by STUCO

Thursday - Ron Burgundy Day - Dress up like your Favorite 1960's - 70's local News Anchor - If I may Quote the Great Movie Anchorman, Ron Burgundy "Had suits so fine it made Frank Sinatra Look like a Hobo!" Dress up in FINE suits in retro colors. (This is a Mass Day so dress up but it retro colors)
Food: Syberg's Tenders

Friday: Black and Gold Day! Modified attire by class - dress wacky but use the following colors!
Seniors: Wear Black
Juniors: Wear Gold
Sophomores: Wear White
Freshman: wear Grey
Food: McDonald's McDoubles at Lunch!
