Anyone that is interested in playing basketball or wrestling this winter needs to have a completed physical before October 31. Please see Coach Cochran if you have any questions.

There will be a sign up meeting for all sophomores, juniors, and seniors interested in trying out for basketball on Monday October 17 during Encore in the Fieldhouse.  Questions?  See Coach KWalsh

Attention Prolifers, there will be a Prolife Club meeting tomorrow at encore. If you are interested in participating in 40 Days for life, please attend the meeting tomorrow.

The Griffin Swimmers took 10th place in a tough field of 12 at the Lindbergh 'Splashing Out Cancer' Invitational on Saturday.  Jake Gauvain medaled twice--taking 4th in the 200 Free and 7th in the 100 Free.  He also qualified for his fourth event at the State Meet in November posting a time of 1:50.44 in the 200 Free.  The 200 and 400 Free relays of Gauvain, Paul Hoffman, Drew Sandweg and Sam Biffignani captured 4th and 8th respectively.  Overall the swimmers posted 38 individual and team best times during the meet--a season high!!  The Swimmers take on MICDS and Cape-Notre Dame this Thursday in their final regular season meet.

A second half goal by junior Cam Skaggs sent the Griffin faithful home victorious on Saturday’s Senior Day soccer game with a 1-0 win over Webster Groves. Congrats to our seniors for their efforts in the Griffin soccer program.

A reminder to seniors that you need to let your Griffin Game Governor know if you would like to be a part of the Ping Pong Competition which will be going on this week.  I need to have the list of competitors from each team by the end of lunch today.

On Saturday, B Soccer beat Webster Groves 2-0.  Goals were scored by Tommy Gerdes and Dominic Cissi.  Collin Doherty had two assists.  Kyle Diffley recorded the shutout.

Chess Intramurals continue this week.  Practices are scheduled Monday and Tuesday after school in room 109.  New players are welcome.  Round 5 competition is scheduled Thursday after school in room 109 with check in by 2:50.  Chess team tryouts begin Monday, October 31.  Registration is required.  To register see Coach Baur immediately after school in room 109 either today,  Tuesday or Thursday.

Juniors and seniors signed up, a reminder that Mississippi State University is here at 8:40, St. Ambrose University at 10:40 and Vanderbilt at 2:10.

The freshman football team ended their season in spectacular fashion defeating CBC 19 to.14 last Friday. TDS were scored by Isaac Hertweck on a pass from Joe Louis, Colin Baliva  on pass from Jake MCcauley and Drew Bishop on a 40 yard pick 6 to end the first half. The Griffs ended their season 5-3.

The Government & Politics Club will meet in room 500 during Encore this morning.

The Vianney Investment Club will meet Tuesday after school in room 310. Update your portfolios and get ready to discuss investment strategy!
