Freshman who are interested in basketball and missed the sign up meeting, need to see Coach K Walsh as soon as possible.

ALL NEW and VETERAN Scholar Bowl Team Members: Mandatory meeting during Encore on Thursday in room 302.  We need to finalize the rosters!

There will be a sign up meeting for all sophomores, juniors, and seniors interested in trying out for basketball on Thursday in room 501 during Encore.  Questions….see Coach K. Walsh.

Attention juniors and seniors:  The next ACT course will begin next Monday, October 22, for students taking the ACT in December.  Students who take the course improve their scores by an average of 4 points. See Mr. Meyer in the counseling office for more information.

Chess Team tryouts begin Monday, October 29.  Registration is required. See Mr. Matreci in the leadership center or Mr. Baur in room 209 for details.  Chess Intramurals competition continues this week, and new players are welcome.

Reminder that applications for the March for Life in Washington D.C. are due Friday. Apply online or see Mr. Gauvain, Mr. Kheriaty, or Mr. Becvar for details.

Vianney’s 40 Days for Life prayer vigil is next Friday, and sign ups are due this Friday. Grab a permission form from one of the ProLife guys in the halls.

Attention all Griffins!!  Tomorrow, the Varsity soccer team will be hosting an Orange Dress Down day to raise money for Leukemia Awareness & specifically a Lindbergh senior Will Ohler, who has T-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.  For a $2 donation, you may dress down in Orange on Thursday and varsity soccer team members will be collecting in the Commons before school.

There will be a Yearbook and Vianney News Network Meeting in the room 205 on Thursday during Encore

Congratulations to Vianney soccer goalie Kyle Diffley who was selected by the members of the Lettermen’s Club as Vianney’s Athlete of the Month for September.  Kyle led the team to a 10-2 record and only allowed 3 goals in 12 games. If you want to have a vote on October’s Athlete of the Month, come see Mr. Kevin Walsh in Room 501 and join the Lettermen’s Club.

Congratulations to the Freshman Gold Soccer Team.  They defeated De Smet yesterday 1-0. Alex Vogelweid scored and Wil Picha recorded the shutout in goal.  It was a fine team victory.
