Morning

Attention Seniors:  all seniors must turn in a graduation packet in the commons during lunch today.  Even if you aren’t ordering any announcements, you must select Package 5 for your cap and gown.  Again, everyone must turn one in for your cap and gown even if you aren’t ordering anything.

You can play chess at encore today in room 209.  Chess Team tryouts begin Monday, October 28. Registration is required.  See Mr. Matreci in the Activity Center or Mr. Baur in room 209 at encore.

Attention juniors and seniors: The ACT prep course for students taking the December ACT will start on Thursday.  Average score improvement for students who take the course is 4 points. See Mr. Meyer in the counseling office for more information, or email Mrs. Kheriaty directly.

There is Scholar Bowl practice after school today in room 310. 

The Vianney A Bocce team of Nathan Beaton, Luke Uxa, Connor Rooney, Jack Wilson, CJ Nesser, Scott Mosbacher, Andrew Buescher and Charlie Giallanzo ran their record to 6-0 yesterday and are the only undefeated team in the league.

Encore is the last chance to see Mr. Alexander if you have a Bocce hoodie which needs to be replaced.

There will be a fishing club meeting on Tuesday so that we can discuss an outing for next Friday after school.

Attention all those participating in 40 Days for Life. There are two mandatory planning meetings -Monday at encore and Tuesday at encore in room 109. Your parent permission form and online registration are both due by Monday’s meeting. 

There will be a sign up meeting for all sophomores, juniors and seniors (?) on Tuesday morning during Encore in room 504 (Coach K Walsh’s room).  Freshman your meeting will be held at a later date.

Hey sophomores—if you had Mr. Walsh for freshman leadership during A period first semester.   Check your email or drop by room 504 to see Mr. Walsh during encore.  

The freshmen gold soccer team finished their regular season this week with two back to back shutouts over Desmet and Westminster. Great teamwork and a strong defense all around, led by Josh Thompson and Ryan Stratman playing excellent in goal, got them the shutout. The soccer team hopes to continue their great play as they start the first round in the CBC tournament tomorrow. Game time is 10:15am at Cadet Park tomorrow morning; come on out and support your fellow Griffins as they look for the victory over Kirkwood.

The swim competed FC in the finals of the Rockwood Summit invitational last night. Logan Schafer won the 50 free with a state cut and got second in the 100 back. He was the third top individual performer overall! Adam Hastings got 4th place in the 100 back.  Other Placers included Max Laux , Aidan Engbert,Matt Hayes Ethan Coles Scott Curtis Kyle Webb and John Echele! Nice job swimmers!

There will be a basketball sign up meeting for all sophomores, juniors and seniors on Tuesday morning during Encore in room 504 (Coach K Walsh’s room).  Freshman your meeting will be held at a later date.
