CHESS TEAM TRYOUTS BEGIN MONDAY, OCTOBER 30.  REGISTRATION IS NECESSARY. ALL CANDIDATES, INCLUDING THOSE  WHO ARE COMPLETING A FALL SPORT OBLIGATION SHOULD REGISTER AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

The Varsity soccer team defeated Jeff City Helias 4-1 last night on Senior Night to conclude the regular season. Goals were scored by Jacob Sansone, Kamou Harris, Ian Sehr, and Joe Michel. The soccer team begins districts at Parkway South next Tuesday at 5:00 vs Parkway South.

Today, the swim team competes in the MICDS invitational at 5 pm. Tomorrow, they compete in JV MCCs at Forest Park Community College at 12 pm! Good luck to our swimmers!

It’s a whole new season when state qualifying begins.  Tomorrow the Griffin cross country team travels to Jackson to compete in the District meet.  Boys race begins at 11:45.  Be there to cheer them on.

Juniors going on retreat on Monday will meet in room 500 during Encore this morning.

The Politics Club will meet during Encore on MONDAY in Room 500.

Any freshman who would like to try out for basketball and missed the sign-up meeting, please stop by Room 305 to see Coach C. Walsh.

Today during Encore there will be a brief Pro Life Club meeting

Starting at 8:am in the chapel until 2pm there will be Eucharistic Adoration. Come by and spend a few minutes in quiet prayer

A reminder that Millikin University will be visiting at 8:40 and St. Mary’s University San Antonio will be here at 10:40. If you didn’t sign up but would like to see St. Mary’s, you may let a counselor know. There will be a higher up here from their business school that offers full rides to students who are eligible. Please take advantage of this opportunity to introduce yourself.

Happy Birthday today to senior Andrew Cassell.  On Saturday to senior Alain Molina and freshman Danny Rohm will celebrate their birthdays while on Sunday sophomore Lizheng Xiang and juniors Jack Burford, Christopher Joseph and Matthew Workes will celebrate their birthdays.  We hope that you all have a great day on your special day.  Those are your final morning announcements of the week.  Make good choices this weekend and make it a great day to be a Griffin.
