There are still 3 sophomores’ calculators left from testing last Wednesday.  See Mr. Matreci to claim them.

 

Room Changes:  Mr Redman's Chem 2 Honors class will meet in Room 209 today and Mr. Kheriaty's B period class will meet in room 105.

 

Pro Life Club:  The Pro Life club will meet at encore on Tuesday in Chapel. We have much to discuss and plan for including the upcoming luncheon on Sunday; the 40 Days for Life vigil; and the Nov. 1stmass. Please make every effort to be present. 

 

Despite losing to Summit, the Swim Team had a couple milestones on Thursday. Vianney winners include Jake Gauvain in the 200 and 500 Free, Garrett Lipic in the 100 Free, Nick Alexander in the 100 Back and the 400 Free Relay team of Lipic, Alexander , Ben Dombrowski and Jeff Sandweg. Junior Sam Trenter finished 2nd in diving but his score of 218.60 was good enough to qualify him for the State Meet for the first time. Nick Alexander also took second in the 50 Free qualifying for the State Meet in his 8th event. He has now qualified for all the individual events.

 

Mock Trial will meet after school on Thursday in room 302.

 

All Juniors going on retreat tomorrow please meet Mr. Remiger in the chapel during Encore for a short meeting. 

 

Griffin Life will meet this Wednesday. We will be discussing current events in our world and the the Church's stance. See you at 5:30pm in the Marianist Lobby. 

 

There will be a sign up meeting Tuesday morning at 7:25 for all sophomores, juniors, seniors who want to try out for basketball this year.

Freshmen interested in trying out for basketball, your meeting will be on Tuesday during Encore in room 303.

 

This Saturday, dodge ball returns to Vianney.  Rosters are available  in the cafe or in room  305.  Teams will be comprised of six players.  The entry fee is $5 per player with proceeds benefiting our Special Olympics event in the spring.  Get a roster, get your boys together and we'll see who claims the 2013 dodge ball title.  Forms must be turned in by Thursday.

 

There will be a brief meeting for any student interested in the Future Business Leaders of America team immediately after school today in the computer lab Room 205. If you'd like to learn more about what it takes to succeed on business and technology today stop by Room 205 after school or see Mr Haddock.

 

Time to brush up on your Welsh, boys!  That's right, on Thursday October 24th our exchange students from Llandovery College in Wales arrive in St. Louis!  They will be in classes on Friday and will be attending Vianney events and learning all about Vianney and St. Louis that following week.  If you'd like to know more, find Andrew Goewert, Ryan Griffin, Dave O'Leary, Zach Dempsey, Dave Prost or Spencer Dorlac and ask them all about the Vianney/Llandovery experience!

 

CHESS INTRAMURALS FINISH THIS WEEK.  NIKITA THOMPSON LEADS THE SENIORS WITH 5 1/2 POINTS, ALEX GRIFFIN LEADS THE JUNIORS WITH 3 1/2 POINTS, NATHAN MITTENZWEY LEADS THE SOPHOMORES WITH 5 1/2 POINTS, AND MARSHALL HARNEY LEADS THE FRESHMEN WITH 3 1/2 POINTS.  CHESS TEAM PRACTICE BEGINS NEXT MONDAY.  ALL CANDIDATES MUST REGISTER EITHER WITH MR. PETERSEN IN ROOM 208 OR MR. BAUR IN ROOM 209.
