B-soccer stayed on track beating the CBC Cadets 2-1 Saturday on the Heeb. After being an overly gracious host by scoring an own goal against a defenseless Matt Bokamper, the Jr. Griffins responded with two second half goals to win the match. The teams effort has never been in doubt this season as our boys have controlled play like the always do but "Seanie" Michel & "AC" Christante were more determined that ever willing their teammates to victory. Ten minutes into the half, Brandon Love found the net with the equalizer from his striking partner Joey Delbert. It was only seven minutes later that Nick Auck scored the game winner off another tireless Delbert assist. Up next, the Jr. Griffs travel to Howell Central on Tuesday.

Mission Immersion Trip: Come and learn about how you might be able to travel to Jamaica to do some mission work at the beginning of next summer (2013) and learn about another culture and part of the world. The Freshman Soccer Team completed their season on Saturday with a 6-0 win over CBC. The Griffins Swimmers and Divers ran their season record to 7-3 with a victory over DeSmet this Saturday by the narrowest of margins, 93-92. The Griffs won nine of the twelve events, but couldn't seem to put the Spartans away--actually trailing going into the final event. The Griffins A Relay won the race and outpointed the Spartans for the win. Griffin winners included Garrett Lipic in the 200 Free, Kevin Ogle in the 200 IM, Sam Reynolds in both the 50 and 100 Freestyles, and Nick Alexander in the 500 Free and 100 Back. Sam also lowered his State Qualifying time in the 100 Free. Up next for the Griffins is the completion of the postponed MICDS dual meet (Wednesday, Oct. 24) and their final conference meet against Chaminade on Friday.
