Play Chess at encore today in room 209.  Chess Intramurals competition continues this week, and new players are welcome.  Chess Team tryouts begin Monday, October 29. Registration is required. See Mr. Matreci in the leadership center or Mr. Baur in room 209 for details.

Thanks for those who are signed up for 40 Days for Life. There is a Prolife meeting for all 40 Days participants on Tuesday and Thursday at encore. Please plan to attend.

The varsity soccer team went 2 & 0 on the weekend by defeating Fort Zumwalt West on Friday night 1-0 and then on senior day, defeated Lindbergh 2-0 on goals from Nick Mastis & Tommy Mataya.  Both shutouts were recorded by Kyle Diffley.

All members of this year’s Freshman Black & Freshman Gold soccer teams are to come to the Chapel at the beginning of Encore today for a very brief meeting.

Christopher Joseph once again led the Vianney cross country team Saturday at the district meet in Jackson.  Despite this and several season best times the team did not qualify anyone for Sectionals. Wednesday’s Findley Invitational in Jefferson Barracks park will be the final meet of the season.

Anyone junior or senior interested in Rockhurst University or the University of Oklahoma, college reps will be here tomorrow! Sign up on Naviance TODAY to ensure your spot.

Attention ALL seniors! The deadline to apply for Merit-based scholarships to colleges is a few weeks away. Make sure you apply to those universities and colleges if you want to be eligible for scholarships based on your grades. See Mr. Meyer or Coach Bunton if you have any questions.

The Student Giving Challenge begins today - please turn in your pledge to the Advancement Office during Encore.  You will receive a t-shirt for dress-down days this Friday and next Friday. You will also get a raffle ticket to win an XBox or PS4.  Remember that the Griffin Fund impacts your Vianney experience.

In preparation for Halloween next week STUCO has a couple of events for you. All students can sign up with Mr. Lewis for a pumpkin carving contest displayed on Halloween. Halloween next week will be a Costume day at school with a chance to win prizes for best costume. Lastly if you have any suggestions for how to improve your school make sure to drop it off at the Suggestion box at room 310.

Attention students who signed up for the Missouri State visit this morning: the meeting has been moved to the Media Center. Please arrive by 10:38.
