The admission price for tonight’s football game and tomorrow’s soccer game is $6.00.  Again, because the state controls this tournament…no student discounts, parent passes, gold circle cards, etc. will be accepted.  The gate volunteers appreciate your cooperation!


The media center will be closed after school today.


National Honor Society officers need to see Mr. Redman in room 105 during encore today.

Pro Life Trip to Washington, DC:  Any student interested in applying to attend the Pro Life trip to Washington, DC in January - please see Fr. Tim for application process. 


Junior Retreat:  The next Junior retreat is Nov. 20-21. The names of everyone going is posted on the campus ministry bulletin board. We will have a meeting next Monday at Encore to over the details. 


Kairos Retreats:  The next Kairos retreat is Dec. 2-4. The names of everyone going is posted on the campus ministry bulletin board. Any concerns see Fr. Tim


SOPHOMORES AND JUNIORS- Those of you who have not yet turned in service hours this is just a reminder that you have until Dec. 15th to complete your original 20 hours and 10 additional hours of service. An updated list of those without recorded hours will be posted on the Campus Ministry window.


Seniors--Are you a young entrepreneur?  Do you operate your own small business?  You are eligible to apply for a NFIB Young Entrepreneur Award.  Visit www.NFIB.com/YEA for more information.  Scholarship range from $1000 to $10,000.  Application deadline is December 18.

Seniors--UMSL will award a full tuition, fees, room and board and book allowance scholarship under the Opportunity Scholars program.  Preference is given to first generation college students and/or students majoring in on e of the STEM disciplines.  More information is at:  umsl.edu/opportunityscholars.

The St. Louis Rams are hosting Sports Journalism Day at the Edward Jones Dome on Sunday, December 15.  Join members of the local media for a panel discussion and a behind the scenes look at sports journalism.  More information is available in the Leadership Center.


Does your post Vianney college plan include attending a military academy? Admission to an academy may be enhanced if you attend a summer seminar.  Information about the Naval Academy's summer seminar is available in the Leadership Center or from a counselor.  Applications will be accepted starting in January.  The summer seminar is open to all grade levels.


Bocce guys: stop by room 209 after school today to pick up a revised schedule from Mr. Kheriaty.


Robotics:  New equipment has arrived!  The robotics team will meet Tuesday after school, room 207 to start putting it all together.   Be there!  


RACQUETBALL: All racquetball players need to stop by 310 before they leave school today to pick up full season schedules.  Racquetball matches start Tuesday! The JV team will play at MAC at 3:30 tuesday. The Varsity team will play Wednesday at MAC at 3:30.


Congratulations to both Vianney bowling teams who were quite successful this weekend.  Brad Mertens, of Vianney 1, secured a team win for the second game of their match, propelling the team to a resounding victory of game three and the match.  Vianney 2 remains on top of the Catholic division by ten points.


Somewhere, someone is practicing ping pong right now -and when you meet him in the upcoming ping pong tournament, he will beat you. Come sharpen your skills after school today. The Ping pong club will be playing in the 200 hallway.


The Environmental Club will meet this morning during Encore.  All current members and others who are interested in joining are invited to attend.  We will be discussing an exciting school-wide initiative.  Please join us in room 305 during encore.



The Griffin Swimmers had a solid showing at the MCC Championships with 3 event champions--a first for Vianney Swimming.  Sam Trenter was the conference champion in diving while Nick Alexander was the conference champion in the 200IM with a new school and conference record time.  Nick also took second place in the 100 fly with a new school record time.  Finally, the 200 Free Relay team of Garrett Lipic, Jeff Sandweg, Ben Dombrowski and Nick Alexander were Vianney's first-ever conference relay champions.  Next up is the State Meet on Friday and Saturday as Sam Trenter competes in Diving and Nick Alexander competes in the 200IM and the 100 Backstroke.
