Nov. 14, 2012 Wednesday A Day

Holy Trinity Thanksgiving Collection: Our annual collection has begun and runs through November 20. We will be collecting money at all lunch shifts to benefit the food pantry at Holy Trinity parish in Baden. If you are interested in volunteering to collect money at lunch, see Mr. Stevison in the Library for instructions. On Thanksgiving morning (November 22) we need volunteers (families are welcome) to deliver Thanksgiving meals to families served by the food pantry. We begin with 9:00 Mass and deliver the meals between 10:30 and 12:30 that day. Everyone is welcome to join us. Please be generous -- this project helps many people have a holiday meal they might not have had otherwise.

The cafe staff is asking that, at the end of fourth lunch, you stack the chairs 8 high and push them neatly around the perimeter of the room. Also, during Encore, do not bring any books/bookbags through the food line.

All Students: Please check the IOU listing on the Griffin Gear Store window and pay debts prior to Thanksgiving break. Thank you.

Monthly Class Meetings: Thursday is the Juniors and Friday is the Freshman.

Those students who are attending Cardboard Village need to stop by the Campus Ministry office to pick up information and permission forms for the retreat.

Juniors who would like to lead Kairos next year can FINALLY pick up applications in the Campus Ministry office.

The Eagle Scout group's next meeting is Thursday, Nov. 15, in the media center.

Pro Life Trip to Washington, DC: Check out the poster information in the hallway on the Pro Life trip. Your essay and down payment are due this Thursday, Nov. 15th if you are interested in applying for the trip that you will always remember. Think about standing up for your faith and for life. March with 400,000 other people from the US in January.

Mother-Son Mass: The Mother Son Mass is scheduled for this coming Sunday. If you are interested in assisting with the Mass, please see Fr. Tim or Mr. Remiger

Thanksgiving Mass: Our next student body mass will be for Thanksgiving in another week. If you are interested in helping out, please see Fr. Tim or Mr. Remiger.

Griffin Theatre still needs volunteers to act as ushers for this week's performances of "Count Dracula" Thursday through Saturday nights and Sunday afternoon. Free admission and activity points! See Mrs. Fullenkamp, Kevin Ogle or Brendan Cronley to volunteer.

ALL: "Faith, Food and Friends." Griffin LIFE will meet tonight from 5:30-7:30 in the Marianist Lobby. Please come out to help us celebrate our Thanksgiving meeting.
Members of Griffin LIFE should see Mr. Dailey by the end of the week to place your order for a Griffin LIFE hoodie.

Any student interested in signing up for this year's FBLA team, please come by Computer Lab Room 205 this Thursday during Encore. If you have a unique interest in business or business technology stop by to see what the Future Business Leaders is all about or see Mr. Haddock by the end of the week.
This holiday season Vianney will have a bin available for recycling Christmas lights. It seems inevitable the each year some strands of lights refuse to light. Please inform you parents that those lights can be recycled at Vianney. Last year, 64,000 pounds of lights were recycled. Please help rescue your burnt out lights from the landfill by placing them in our collection bin.
The group that recycles the lights needs volunteers to distribute the collection bins after school this week and the Sat after Thanksgiving. If you would like to volunteer see Mr. C. Walsh in room 305.
The Robotics club will have a short meeting this Friday afternoon after school in room 207 to discuss implementation of our new LabView software, and to come up with fundraising ideas for the TETRIX resource kit required to build a competitive robot. The qualification meet is coming up January 20th, so we have our work cut out for us! Be there!!
