There will be a Winter Athletic Apostles meeting on Wednesday, November 16 at 8:00 a.m. in room PE500. All winter apostles should plan on attending. If you have any questions, please see Coach Cochran.

The BBQ Club will meet in the Cafe on Wednesday morning at 8:30am.  Be there!

The Vianney Investment Club will meet in room 310 on Wednesday after school. See you then!

The Guitar Club will be meeting during encore today in room 202 to discuss future projects!  Please be there!!

There will be a mandatory meeting for everyone interested in Speech, Debate and Mock Trial on Thursday during Encore in room 301.  Competition dates will be set.  Please see Dr. Finley if you have any questions.

Let’s pack The Heeb this Friday for the state semi-final football game vs. Staley at 7:00. Tickets will go on sale starting Wednesday, November 16 from 8:00 to 3:00 in the Commons. The cost is $7.00.

Congratulations to Jake Gauvain for being selected the Letterman’s Club Athlete of the Month for October.  Thank you Jake for representing Vianney.  Your dedication and discipline serves as a model for  all Vianney athletes. Great job Jake!

Saturday the Varsity Chess Team placed fourth in the Maplewood Tournament.  Gage Kramer, Aaron Manley, Jacob Farrell and Tony Allen won individual awards.  Saturday the Freshman Chess Team placed second in the Maplewood Tournament.  Brandon Stanfield and Evan Lovera won individual awards.

The Following Students need to see Mrs. Kraus in the main office to pick up their Josten’s packets: Josh Arndt, James Schueler,Jim Laaker, Thomas Varghese, Kris Reddick, Jack Hegger , Charlie Schoen and Aaron Llewllyn.

Last week, Vianney’s Scholar Bowl JV & Varsity Teams swept the competition with a 6-0 win over at St. Mary’s.  Battle continues today at Lutheran South.  Matches start at 4pm.

Good People of Vianney: This week, and next, we are hosting our annual Thanksgiving Canned-Food Drive as a way to support the less fortunate.  Starting this Wednesday, November 16th, and extending until Tuesday November 22nd, please start bringing in your non-perishable food items to donate to this cause.  National Honor Society members will be available before school in the main lobby to assist with the collection.  As a small incentive, NHS will also be raffling off three lunch cards for those who participate.  Once again gentlemen, please take some time this week and next to bring in canned-goods to help out the less fortunate this holiday season.  In the words of Mary our Mother: “Do whatever he tells you.”  Now is our time, Vianney! Thank you!

In need of service hours?  Holy Cross Academy is looking for 10 Griffins to help with their dinner auction this Saturday night from 4 - 10 at the Holiday Inn on Watson.  If you are from Our Lady of Providence, Annuncation, St. Dominic Savio, Seven Holy Founders or St. Mike’s parishes, please consider helping out.
