Congratulations to the St. John Vianney High School Academic WorldQuest team, which took first place in the St. Louis competition Thursday night at St. Louis University.

The Griffins took first out of a field of 33 local high schools. The team is comprised of Andrew Chapman (captain), P.J. Wuennenberg, Jack Schlote, Nick Schwarzen and Charlie Preiss.

Academic WorldQuest is a competition put on by the World Affairs Councils of America for high school students that tests them in international politics, geography, global economics, history and world cultures.

The team will travel to Washington, D.C. in April to represent St. Louis in the national competition.
