JUNIORS:  Social Service Project Info: Vianney has a very limited number of spots available to us at a handful of area hospitals.  The hospital placements for St. Clare, St. Mary’s, Cardinal Glennon & Children’s Hospitals need to be finalized soon. To volunteer at one of these hospitals, students must complete several specific requirements.  If you are interested in doing hospital work, you MUST attend a MANDATORY MEETING with Mrs. Mitchell & Mr. Becvar TODAY at ENCORE in Room 104. If for good reason you are unable to attend you MUST contact Mrs. Mitchell or Mr. Becvar by 2:45 TODAY.   


Any students interested in learning more about investing in the stock market are encouraged to attend a meeting in Room 201 on Thursday during Encore. The Investment Club is beginning for the winter & spring and is open to all students, Freshman thru Seniors. See Mr. Haddock if you have any questions or if you cannot make the meeting on Thursday

Any students who would like to participate in the Golf Program this year need to attend a Meeting this Thursday Dec. 5 during Encore in room 402!

Winter Track Conditioning begins this week. Please see Coach Mohr for more information.

Attention juniors:  All Vianney juniors will be taking the ACT in February.  If you’d like help preparing for it, the next courses will begin the day you get back from Christmas break, on January 6.  You can choose between a course that starts at 3:15 and another one that starts at 6:00. Sign up before Christmas break starts if you want to attend.  

Juniors, don’t forget to turn in your Junior Ring order forms in the commons at lunch today or from 4-6:30 this evening.

The freshman basketball team defeated U City 40-33 in last night’s season opener. Carter Hicks led the way with 12 points. Max Bentrup and Joe Schueler each added six points, and David Broughton pulled down seven rebounds.

The varsity basketball team took top ranked Hazelwood Central to the brink last night but could not get the defensive stops they needed down the stretch and lost to the Hawks 70-60. Luke Schueler led all scorers with 27 points.  Vianney plays again on Wednesday night at 6:00 pm vs. St. Mary’s. 

A cold shooting night hurt the Griffins as the sophomore basketball team dropped a close one to Francis Howell last night 44-39

Both locker rooms will close at 3:15 this week to accommodate the teams playing in the varsity basketball tournament.
