Morning

The Government & Politics Club will meet during Encore on Tuesday, December 10, in room 104.

The Investment Club will have their initial meeting for the winter & spring today during Encore in Room 201. Any freshman thru senior is welcome to join. See Mr. Haddock if you have any questions or if you cannot make the meeting.

Sophomores and Juniors who took the PSAT exam in October can pick up score reports from the counselors in the Leadership Center.

All Intro to the Arts students, please stop by the art room during Encore or after school to pick up any art projects you wish to take home.

LACROSSE MEETING for ALL PLAYERS TONIGHT @ 6:30 in ROOM 305

Griffin LIFE guys, if you can help make sandwiches this morning, please meet in the Cafe at the start of encore for Thoughtful Thursday. 

Attention juniors:  If you would like help preparing for the ACT that you will take in February, the next courses start the day you get back from Christmas break, on Jan. 6.  One course will start at 3:15, and the other course will start at 6:00. Sign up before Christmas break if you plan to take a course.

Anyone interested in playing on one the Golf Teams this year needs to be present at today’s meeting during Encore in room 402.

You can play chess  at encore today in room 209.  Wednesday the varsity chess team defeated Parkway West by the score of 17 to 13.  Logan Kammerer, Brandon Stanfield, Derian Ryker and Alex Shaffer scored for Vianney.

The freshman basketball team defeated Lindbergh by four points last night to advance to the finals of the Webster Groves Tournament. David Broughton scored 10 points, including the go-ahead basket late in the fourth quarter, and Kyle Missey made nine free throws in a row to help seal the win.

Despite having 5 players score in double figures, the varsity basketball team dropped their second game of the season to St. Mary’s 74-70 last night in the 2nd round of the Vianney Invitational.  Next up is tomorrow vs. Whitfield at 4:00 pm.

Afternoon

Both locker rooms will close at 3:15 this week to accommodate the teams playing in the varsity basketball tournament.

If you are interested in joining the Rocket League or Overwatch Esports teams, please stop by the Tech Center for a quick sign-up. Esports will have a closed practice for Siege today after school.

If you have signed up to give blood at tomorrow’s Blood Drive, please report to the activity center at your scheduled time in good health by eating something ahead of time and drinking lots of water.  Please remember to bring a photo ID with your birth date on it and the last four digits of your social security number. You are not allowed to change your scheduled time without permission
