C period teachers will read the new Mandatory Encore lists this morning.

 

Congratulations to the Concert Band and Mr. Neyer on an outstanding concert last night.

 

Those who are going on the Close Up Trip to Washington, D.C. in February are to meet in Room 102 during Tuesday's Encore.

 

Blood Drive:  Today is the last day to make an appointment to give Blood tomorrow at our annual Advent drive. All students will need an i.d. with your birthday date and year on it. All students will receive a Blood Hall Pass on Tuesday morning with your time. You cannot change times unless approved by Fr. Tim. A draft of the appointments so far is posted on the campus ministry bulletin board. Students who are +16 must have a parent consent form which you can obtain on line at the Vianney Web site. Encourage your parents to come anytime before 1:pm. 

 

Student Body Mass: We will have our next student body mass on Thursday. If you are interested in assisting in any way, please see Fr. Tim today. 

 

ACT Prep Class:  The ACT Prep class will meet on Monday, Tuesday & Thursday next week to be caught up prior to next Saturday’s ACT administration.

 

ALL PROSPECTIVE FRESHMAN LACROSSE PLAYERS:  There will be an informational meeting on WEDNESDAY  in the Griffin Cafe at 7:00 pm.  Please attend with a parent, if possible.  Questions? See Coach Stein in Room 308.

 

All Winter Athletic Apostles should meet on Wednesday  in the Coaches Office at 8:00.

 

There will be a Literary & Art Journal Meeting Tuesday December 10th during Encore in Room 302.  Please attend... we need to finalize some important details before break!  Thanks!

 

Any student enrolled in English 450 for the second semester needs to make sure they have a copy of Beowulf purchased and ready for the first day of classes on January 2nd.  They are available in the Gear Store.  Translation by: Seamus Heaney.

 

Attention seniors interested in Engineering as a career:  The MO Society of Professional Engineers, St. Louis Chapter will award four (4) $1000 scholarships.  A 3.0 GPA is required along with a minimum of a 29 in math and 25 in English on the ACT.  Deadline is January 11, 2014.  See Mrs. Dombek or your counselor in the Leadership Center.

 

This weekend the wrestling team competed in the Parkway South tournament, for the varsity team Dave Craft finished 3rd and Nick Freund 6th on the JV side, Austin Bruner 2nd, Sam Leible 3rd, Michael Tonini 4th, Andrew Kurt 4th, Joey Nelson 6th and newcomers Nick Chapman and Alex Jokerst both finished 6th. Congratulations wrestlers!!
