Any student taking Mr. Sargent's English 400 or 450 class during the Spring Semester MUST have a copy of Beowulf (Seamus Heaney translation) on the first day of school, Wednesday, January 3rd.
The Scholar Bowl season wrapped up last night at Desmet with wonderful results. Both Griffin varsity teams fared well this season with two of our players earning individual awards. Congratulations to senior Lucas Mead for finishing in the top ten for individual scoring and a super big shout-out to junior PJ Wuennenberg for finishing FIRST overall in individual scoring. Congrats gentlemen.
A Bocce club Members and anyone interested in playing the upcoming winter session---Play begins on Thursday, Jan. 18th and runs for 6 straight Thursdays. If you have any interest, stop by Room 107 and sign up with Mr. Alexander. We will meet after Christmas Break. New players are welcome.

The varsity basketball team moved to 4-2 on the young season with a 64-40 victory over Lindbergh last night. The team used an 18-7 third quarter to blow open a tied game at halftime. CJ Paul led the way with 24 points and Colin Braun added 19 in the victory
