STUDENTS ELIGIBLE: Cybersecurity Club is open to all Vianney students interested in the field of Cybersecurity.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION: The Cybersecurity Club competes in Hackathons, Capture the Flag and the CyberPatriot National Youth Cyber Education Program.  All of these programs inspire K-12 students toward careers in cybersecurity or other science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) disciplines critical to our nation's future.

​We offer a summer camp for 6th, 7th and 8th graders that explores cybersecurity and exposes the attendees to Windows and Linux security competitions. Dates June 1st through June 5th 12:30 - 2:30 in room 201 computer lab.

MEETING TIMES: We meet every Tuesday during encore and compete on Saturdays or Sundays

CLUB/ACTIVITIES NEWS AND EVENTS: 

Michael Esswein '20, Ben Ryan '20, and Nathan Szewczyk '20 led by Coach Dan Didier placed first in state out of 53 teams in the 2019 Missouri High School Cyber Security Challenge. The school was presented with a $5,000 check and each student offered more than $12,000 in college scholarships and an internship with the Defense Information Systems Agency.
