Pete Cerone serves as the Director of Advancement at St. John Vianney High School and is a member of the school's leadership team.  He is responsible for overseeing all aspects of fundraising, alumni activities and communications.   Additionally, Pete manages the school's Advancement Team, who is responsible for developing and implementing strategies for the annual fund, planned giving, major donors and special events. Pete is an innovator in social media fundraising and a presenter at local and national conferences.  He is a graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in Finance.  He is married to Jennifer Grillion-Cerone and they have a son, Crosby. 

Mark Schuermann serves as the Director of Major Gifts at St. John Vianney High School.  He is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive program of initiatives which increase philanthropic support for St. John Vianney High School.  In this role Mark's focus is on renewing and upgrading current donors, as well as increasing the overall annual fund participation rate as well as managing a portfolio of major gift prospects. Mark is a leader in sales and fundraising and a presenter at local and national conferences.  He is a graduate of the University of  Central Missouri where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Marketing.


Rob Staggenborg serves as Vianney's Director of Communications. He's been with Vianney since 2014, but his career in educational communications started in 1998 while working for another area private school. At Vianney, he is in charge of organizational communications which include the Black and Gold Magazine, the Alumni E-Griffin, the Parent Connection, as well as the school website, our official social media accounts, donor communications, admissions marketing, athletic marketing, and special event communications. He helps direct all school advertising to include billboards, print advertising and online advertising too.

Rob is accredited in Public Relations by the Public Relations Society of America. He has served on the local PRSA-St. Louis Board twice and served as a national delegate for the international PRSA conference twice as well. He holds a BA in Media Communications from Webster Univesity and a Master of Science degree from Missouri Baptist University. Rob is a member of the CBC Alumni Hall of Fame. Kelly Mueller serves as the Director of Events at St. John Vianney High School and is a member of the school's Advancement Committee.  She is responsible for all aspects of the school's advancement events including the Night of the Griffin auction, Hall of Fame Banquet, President's Reception, and Grandparent's Mass.  Kelly is responsible for securing event sponsorships, item donations, volunteers and overseeing event logistics.  She graduated from Saint Louis University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication. Kelly is married to Tom and they have 2 daughters, Mya and Alex.

Dominick Traina has what he calls his dream job. Having graduated from Vianney in 2009, he is happy to be back working for the Black and the Gold of Vianney. “I’m back home,” he says proudly. Dominick is a Missouri State University graduate with a bachelors degree in Organizational Communication with a minor in marketing. He also has south side roots at St. Gabriel’s Parish. He worked at AT&T for a year and a half before joining Vianney’s Advancement team in December, 2015. In his role as Director of Alumni Relations, Dom cultivates relationships with alumni through face to face meetings, alumni association events, and alumni-specific communications. He organizes class reunion weekends, as well as the recent Alumni Association Golf Classic, Whiskey Tasting event, Student Giving Campaign and more.

Ellen Hugge serves as the Administrative Assistant to the Advancement Office, working with all members of the Advancement Team to ensure the success of the office.  Ellen has over ten years’ experience in non-profit fundraising and grant writing. Prior to this experience, she worked in Sales and Marketing, for May Marchandising, Ikon Office Solutions and KTRS Radio.  Ellen has a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Missouri. She is married to her husband, Dan, and they have three children: Colin, Caroline and Jane.
