2018 Day of Giving is Tuesday, November 27
Vianney’s Day of Giving
What? Giving Tuesday is a national day of giving, which comes after Black Friday and Cyber Monday, that encourages philanthropy and celebrates generosity. We participate to encourage our community to make an investment in the lives of the young men at Vianney.
For: The Griffin Fund, which is St. John Vianney High School’s annual invitation to alumni, parents, grandparents and friends to help ensure the strength of the Vianney mission.
When? Tuesday, November 27, 2018, from Midnight to 11:59 p.m.
Why? St. John Vianney High School has secured matching gifts. You can give to Vianney any day of the year but this gives current donors an opportunity to leverage their gift and new donors an added incentive to support the young men at Vianney for the first time.
Who? Anyone can participate, however we specifically reach out to members of the Vianney family. When you make an investment in the Griffin Fund you join thousands of families from our community who support the young men at Vianney each year.
How? Alumni, parents, faculty, staff and students commit to sending emails and/or posting content on social media sites to spread the word and encourage participation.
We are asking you to help us spread the word to your family and friends on your personal social media so you can share the excitement of the Day of Giving. Post to social media by tagging @VianneyGriffins and using #GiveToVianney. DAY OF GIVING 2018
We want to say a big THANK YOU for making Day of Giving a success!
In 24 hours we received 245 gifts from donors who participated in Day of Giving and raised more than $69,000 for the young men at St. John Vianney High School.
We received donations from alumni from 1962 through 2015, parents, parents of alumni, faculty, staff, grandparents, and corporations.
DAY OF GIVING 2017
Thanks to the generosity of so many alumni, families, faculty, staff, students and friends of St. John Vianney High School, we were able to raise $86,219 during our fourth annual Day of Giving campaign. Of that amount, $4,903 will go to scholarship funds.
The $86,219 raised came from 263 donors. Both the amount raised and the number of donors were the most during our four years of participating in a Day of Giving effort. Over the past four years, with your generous donations, we have raised more than $212,000 to support Vianney High School and our students.
The first gift came online from alum Randall Lipic '97 at 12:14 a.m. on Tuesday and the final gift came from Tim and Caryn Turner at 11:25 p.m. We want to say thank you again to everyone who participated and who helped promote our cause.
On behalf of the young men and families we serve, thank you for your support.
