Hello my name is Tammy Ring, and it is with great enthusiasm that I introduce myself to you as your Junior and Senior, learning consultant. I earned my B.S. degree from Fontbonne University and continued my education to earn my MA in Special Education through Missouri Baptist University. I have over 20 years of special education experience which ranges from Early Childhood Special Education to Adult Education in the public and private school settings. I have collaborated in the past with Learning Disabilities Association to provide informational seminars to teachers and parents.
I believe that I am truly blessed to be part of the Leadership Department that is dedicated to assisting students both academically and emotionally. My duties include supporting teachers with ALL students that have academic struggles, referring students for testing, communicating with teachers on a consistent basis, and providing study skills and strategies for academic success. I work in conjunction with the counselors to provide accommodations for the PSAT (College Board) and ACT standardized tests to those who qualify.
In the past, I was involved with flying hot air balloons and running a winery. I currently enjoy spending time with my teenage daughters, Ellie and Libby who attend St, Joseph Academy. For fun I enjoy spending time with both Romeo and Krispy, our quarter horses. During the summer months you will find me gardening, painting, hiking, and swimming.
Greetings Griffins! My name is Kristi Treml, and I am the learning consultant for Freshmen and Sophomores. A native St. Louisan, I attended Cor Jesu Academy for high school, where I was first introduced to the St. John Vianney Griffins while attending football and basketball games with my friends. After earning my bachelor's degree in Communication Science and Disorders at the University of Missouri-Columbia, I continued with graduate education at Washington University in St. Louis, culminating in a Master's Degree in Special Education. I have taught in a variety of settings in both public and private sectors for 15 years. I enjoy connecting with students to help them become men of character and accomplishment.
As a learning consultant for freshman and sophomores, I offer strategies to teachers to help all students succeed. I communicate with parents and outside agencies to create learning profiles addressing the individual needs of each student. Throughout the day, I offer instruction in organization, study skills, and executive functioning. In addition, I work with the other learning consultant to provide testing accommodations. I am proud to serve the Vianney community by empowering students with the tools to succeed!
Before I had my three wonderful boys, I coached high school Varsity track and cross-country in Missouri and Texas for five years. In my full time position as a mom, I attend Irish dance competitions, wrestling meets, soccer games, rugby matches, swim meets, baseball games, and flag football games. I enjoy reading, running, dancing, and cooking in my rare free time. I feel honored and blessed to be part of such a community that celebrates faith and family similar to my home.
Today is a great day to be a Griffin!
