DETAILED DESCRIPTION: Speech and debate is a club where students develop their public speaking, debating and acting abilities. There are seven speech categories to choose from. The debate program offers two types of debate, Lincoln Douglas or Public Forum. Students can compete on the novice, junior varsity and varsity level. The team can also compete in student congress, where students write, propose and debate legislation. 

CLUB/ACTIVITY CRITERIA TO JOIN (if any): Anyone can join Speech and Debate. We welcome all students. Students must be willing to commit to a minimum of 3 competitions and attend a minimum of 1 practice per week. Competitions are held on Fridays from 3-8pm and Saturdays from 8am-3pm. Some competitions times will vary. 

MEETING TIMES (if applicable): We will meet on A days during Encore and Wednesdays after school. 

CLUB/ACTIVITIES NEWS AND EVENTS: We are a new club/activity and are looking to build a strong team.
